Stewardship

Your Time, Talent and Treasure

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

Romans 5:5

Our conscience is that inward reflection that makes us consider and review the choices and decisions we make and the actions we take in life. What is it that drives this thought process? It is the Holy Spirit who dwells in our hearts.

As you browse through this catalog, let the Holy Spirit reside in your heart and mind to help you determine how to use your gifts of time, talent, and treasure. We are called to be good stewards of the gifts we have been given, but the process of discerning what we do with those gifts is often difficult, because of the demands of family, work, friends and other needs. It is important to remember we have been called to give back a portion of what we have and to help one another. The sacrifices it takes to do this are often difficult and humbling, but result in great rewards, as we help and care for others.

Your gifts are needed in many ways throughout our church parish and community. Take some time to decide how you can give 2-4 hours per month of volunteer time, using the many varying talents you have, or share your financial blessings. Your sacrificial giving is an expression that God is truly number one in your life, and the Holy Spirit will be there to help with your decisions.

Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:2

So, please join us in the journey of spiritual growth by using your gifts of time, talent and treasure to respond to the need we all have to give of ourselves and grow in the Spirit.
