DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU

Mary of Nazareth makes herself present today in the life of each one of you, my dear brothers, to say to you with maternal love:  “Do whatever He tells you!”, that is to say:

*Get up, pick up your sleeping-mat and walk”

(Jn 5, 8).  Be the master of what dominates you and break with what binds you in order to live in the truth which will set you free.  If you are wounded or immobilized, let yourself be healed by my Word, if you are dead, allow yourself to be resurrected by it.  My word can be life, strength and freedom for you.

*You will be blessed if you are poor and gentle, if you have hunger and thirst for justice, if you have a merciful and pure heart, if you are a builder of peace and, because of this, you are persecuted

(cf. Mt 5, 3ff).  The new flesh of new life will spring forth and you will be happy and glad, you will understand the secrets of the Kingdom, revealed to the simple, and your life will be a full life.

*Wash each others feet (cf. Jn 13, 14).  Love without excluding anyone from your love.  Serve, without looking at whom you serve.  Give yourself from the heart and in the extreme to the fraternity and you will happily experience that there is greater joy in giving than in receiving.

*Go, teach all nations (cf. Mt 28, 19).  Dedicate your life to preaching the Gospel, without limitation of time or space and your life will be Good News for all you meet.

*Do not be afraid (cf. Lk 1, 30).  “I am with you always” (Mt 28, 20).  Do not be afraid, I am your companion on the journey.  Trust, allow, and what is impossible for you will not be so through my grace.  Do not be afraid: be courageous, be of good spirit and follow me with clarity and audacity.

From the letter of the world leader of the Franciscans to his brothers, “Do Whatever He Tells You”
